Manchu — a Mont Blanc cafe at the village entrance
Manchu is known for its handmade chestnut-cream Mont Blanc — crisp meringue layered with mascarpone cream — plus chestnut Mont Blanc bingsu and custard pudding. It is one of Jeonju's best-loved dessert spots, three minutes from Jeondong Cathedral toward the Gaeksa crossroads, right where Hanok Village sightseeing begins.
Why the Hanok Village entrance
Most Jeonju trips start at Hanok Village — where stone-paved alleys make rolling a suitcase miserable, doubly so in a rented hanbok. From Manchu, the whole downtown circuit is walkable.
- Gyeonggijeon, Jeondong Cathedral, Pungnammun Gate: 3-min walk
- Nambu Market: 5-min walk
- Gaengnidan-gil: 7-min walk
- From Jeonju Station or the express terminal, take a city bus or taxi — routes and fares are in our Jeonju Hanok Village Arrival Guide
