    The city bus stop is on the boulevard (Cheonmajung-gil) right in front of Jeonju Station. Buses toward Hanok Village leave from here.

Gyeonggijeon Shrine

Home to the royal portrait of King Taejo, founder of the Joseon dynasty — the natural starting point of a Hanok Village walk, and the street where you will see the most hanbok.

Jeondong Cathedral

A red-brick Romanesque cathedral completed in 1914. It sits at the Hanok Village entrance — the first thing you see stepping off the bus.

Nambu Market

Jeonju's flagship traditional market, just past Pungnammun Gate from the village. Local dishes like kongnamul gukbap (bean sprout soup) at market prices.

Gaengnidan-gil

On the other side of the old downtown — a cluster of cafes, restaurants and bars in backstreet alleys. Hanok Village is Jeonju by day; Gaengnidan-gil is Jeonju by night.
